Why independent matters
The same help can cost you nothing and still be completely different depending on who’s giving it. Here’s why we built Upstate Medicare the way we did.
Not all “Medicare help” is the same
Most people don’t realize there are very different kinds of Medicare help. A call center agent may be reading from a script and pointing you toward whatever pays best that week. A captive agent can only offer one company’s plans. An independent advisor can compare the plans the agency is appointed to offer and explain the practical tradeoffs.
It costs you the same either way.
Carriers pay agents the same whether you enroll on your own, through a call center, or through a local advocate — and your premium is identical. So the only real question is how much choice, and how much follow-through, you get for that same price.
What independent, local guidance gets you
Independent, not captive
Our agency is independent and not captive to one carrier. We compare the plans we are appointed to offer in your service area and explain the practical tradeoffs.
Local to Upstate New York
We know the area and the people we serve. You get a neighbor, not a 1-800 number.
Education before pressure
We focus on clear explanations and year-round service, not a rushed plan transaction.
